Day 1: Arrival in Lima.

On arrival you will be received and greeted by our local personnel and will be driven to your hotel. Relax and refresh yourself for the next day. Overnight, Stay at Lima.

Day 2: City tour of Lima

Stroll through Lima’s historic center, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk through the Main Square and visit its principal landmarks. You will then come across the Santo Domingo Convent, a typical example of 16th century architectural brilliance. Moving on you will resume your tour by visiting San Isidro, a major financial quarter of Lima, and Miraflores, where the main attraction is a 6 mile stretch of park named El Malecón situated along the cliffs high above the Pacific Ocean. Stop at the “Parque Del Amor” (Lover’s park) and take pleasure in its delightful view of the Pacific Ocean. Next up visit the Larco Museum, a privately owned museum built on the site of a pre- Columbian Pyramid and houses a collection of ceramic, textile and precious metal artifacts which dates back to 3000 years.

Day 3: Arequipa – excursion through the city and a visit to the Santa Catalina Convent

Today you will be driven to the city of Arequipa and, upon reaching it, explore the city and its famous historic downtown built in white volcanic sillar rock. It is listed on UNESCO’s Cultural World Heritage List. A few blocks away stand the Santa Catalina Convent, a grand 16th century monastery. Later, finish your day by making a visit to the Cayma and Yanahuara districts of Arequipa. Overnight, stay at Arequipa.

Day 4: Colca Canyon tour

Today morning, you will start your journey to the Colca Canyon, which is twice as deep as the famous Grand Canyon of USA. Located 165 km from the city of Arequipa, It slices through the mighty Andes for more than 100 km. On the way you will pass through Pampas Cañahuas, a plain amidst the Aguada Blanca y Salinas National Reserve. It opens up an opportunity to experience some history, adventure and natu. You will also stop at Patahuasi, a small village in the valley, and then later ascend to 4000 m. The road leads you to the town of Chivay, where you are welcomed all the time with great hospitality of the people living there. It also boasts a Pre-Incan bridge, a small 18th century Colonial church dedicated to Assumption Mary, a bustling market, and proximity to the La Calera hot springs. During afternoon you are free to enjoy those thermal waters or simply relax at your hotel. Accommodation for the night arranged in Yanque.

Day 5: Cruz Del Condor and transfer to Puno

The day starts with an early morning ride to the Cruz Del Condor, a famous viewing point for viewing the Colca Canyon. It is some 60 km from Chivay and it is guaranteed that you will witness the world’s largest bird, the majestic Andean condor, gliding through the winds. While returning, you will stop by the village of Pincholo, well known for its cheeses and retable artisans, and also the town of Maca to explore its charming handicraft market and the Colonial church. Finally concluding today’s sightseeing with a drive to Puno. Overnight, stay at Puno.

Day 6: Lake Titicaca and the floating Uros and Taquile Islands

Today the whole day you will be exploring the Lake Titicaca which is the world’s highest navigable lake at 3808 m. First up you will be taken to its main attraction, the floating Uros Islands and then the Taquile Island. The people at Taquile Island will give you a traditional welcome and a small introduction to their customs such as their outfits and a small demonstration about the knitted patterns they use. The real fun begins here when the Titicaca Lake turns blue and you will have an awesome sight which turns your senses on. Overnight, stay at Puno.

Day 7: Departure for Cusco – La Raya, Raqchi, and Andahuaylillas

Today you are going to visit the most historical place in Peru, Cusco. You will be driven to a bus station from where you can board in a bus to Cusco. You will be taken to the bus station, where you will begin your trip to the city of Cusco. The bus stops at scheduled intervals starting with the La Raya Pass, the natural border which separate Puno and Cusco. It is a perfect backdrop for landscape photography. Afterwards, you will stop at the Incan archeological site of Raqchi, where the central attraction is a huge temple dedicated to God Viracocha. Next stop is at the village of Andahuaylillas, where you will come across a beautiful church, built in the 17th century. Once you are inside the church, even a mere sight of the artistically painted varicolored interiors will leave you dumbfounded. You will spend your night at a hotel in Cusco.

Day 8: Excursion in the city and visit to Sacsayhuaman and nearby archeological sites

Today your tour commence with a visit to the Colonial center, a UNESCO world heritage site which has its origin from the Hispanic and Andean past. The tour resumes with a visit to the Korikancha temple, the most significant temple in the Inca Empire which is better known as the “Temple of the Sun” and the Cathedral, which holds some admirable carved wooden art pieces and imposing altars. Next you will be taken to Sacsayhuaman, an Incan fort constructed from menhirs that guarded the Imperial city. Before dusk you will visit three other famous archeological sites, within short distance from the city named Qenko, Tambomachay, and the Puca Pucara, a military architecture which served as a defence strategy for the Incan Empire. Stay overnight at Cusco.

Day 9: Authentic Sacred Valley

Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas through this route starting on the Inca's Balcony, in Chinchero, a beautiful place with an impressive view, where twelves families still preserve their traditional costumes, showing you the ancestral way in which they process the wool, and obtain those vivid colors for their textiles. Afterwards, we will get to Ollantaytambo, one of the most monumental architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire, one of the few places where the Spanish conquistadors lost a major battle. Very well known for its “andenes” (terraces dug into the slopes of mountains for agricultural purposes), Ollantaytambo was a highly effective fortress that also served as a temple. Then, we will follow to the town of Ollantaytambo, “the unique living Inca town”: the best surviving example of Inca city planning, with narrow cobblestone streets that have been continuously inhabited since the 13th century. Accommodation arranged at Cusco.

Day 10: Travel to Machu Picchu, Lost City of the Incas

The most interesting part of the Peruvian tour is visiting the UNESCO recognized historical site of Machu Picchu. It is probably regarded as the face of Peruvian tourism. This world heritage site covers 32,592 hectares of mountain slopes, peaks and valleys surrounding its heart. Your Machu Picchu tour starts with a train ride to the town of Aguas Calientes. After reaching the top you can explore Machu Picchu in detail and admire the artistic and architectural brilliance of our long gone ancestors. There are many mysteries surrounding this archaeological complex which are still unresolved. When you have finished touring around Machu Picchu you will return back at Cusco. Overnight, stay at Cusco.

Day 11: Return to Lima. International Departures
